Meet Penny

Do you ever find yourself wondering why you respond to people or situations the way you do?
Do you catch yourself thinking negatively or ruminating over conversations or interactions that
occurred? Finding a counsellor who listens and affirms what you are feeling, someone who can create a safe and encouraging space is what I endeavour to do for you.

As a trauma informed, person centred counsellor, I take a holistic approach to working with
individuals. I use an integrated approach with you through your counselling sessions, explaining what the modalities are and ensuring that the most helpful and affective model is the one used. I believe that we are a whole nest of all our parts from infancy to where we find ourselves now. The experiences that you were exposed to during your lifetime impacts the person that you are today.

Being person centred in my approach, I am guided by you and how deep and wide you feel
comfortable to go in therapy. I am a gentle and respectful person; my passion is to help people become empowered and equipped with the knowledge and understanding of how-to live-in freedom.

My special interests include:

  • Anxiety

  • Trauma

  • Grief and loss

  • Parenting – early childhood and teens

  • Family violence
