What is Walk and Talk Therapy?

We currently offer a way of therapy that takes you outside of a room and into the beautiful outdoors. As a keen hiker, Nada specialises in this style of counselling where you are able to walk and talk at your own pace as we gaze at the local wildlife who also enjoy being present with us. 

During walk and talk therapy, we'll walk side by side, creating a more casual and relaxed atmosphere compared to a formal office setting. The physical movement and connection with nature can contribute to a sense of well-being and can be particularly beneficial if you find it helpful to be in motion or have a preference for being outdoors. This type of therapy offers several potential benefits. First, the natural environment can provide a calming and grounding effect, reducing stress and anxiety. The physical activity of walking can also release endorphins and contribute to an improved mood. Additionally, the change in scenery and being outdoors can provide a fresh perspective and stimulate creativity and problem-solving abilities.

Walk and talk therapy is suitable for a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship issues. It may be particularly helpful if you feel more comfortable opening up while engaging in an activity or find the traditional therapy setting too confining or intimidating.
